Finding a meaningful way to remember someone can bring comfort and connection during a time of remembrance.

For funerals, memorial services and celebrations of life, families often look for a small keepsake to share with the people who have gathered to honour and remember someone they love. Something personal, thoughtful and lasting that guests can take home with them.

Custom memorial seed packets are a beautiful way to do just that.

Each packet can be created especially to remember a loved one, with personalised wording and a design inspired by their life, personality or the things they loved. Guests can take a packet home, plant the seeds and watch them grow, creating a living reminder of someone who will always be remembered.

A little something to take home and grow

There is something particularly comforting about planting a seed.

A tiny seed, placed in the earth and cared for, slowly begins to grow. In time, it becomes something beautiful.

For a family experiencing grief, this simple act can become a gentle way of remembering. The flowers may bloom in a garden, a pot on a balcony or somewhere special outdoors, providing a quiet reminder of the person they are missing.

Personalised memorial seed packets

Every family and every person being remembered is different, which is why I wanted these memorial seed packets to be personal rather than simply choosing a generic funeral keepsake.

The packets can be designed around the person you are remembering, incorporating details that made them special.

You might choose to include:

• Their name
• Their dates
• A favourite saying or sentiment
• A meaningful message
• A hobby or special interest
• A favourite flower
• A beloved pet
• Something they were known for
• A simple symbol that reminds you of them

For example, if they loved gardening, the beach, birds, butterflies, animals or a particular flower, we can look at ways to gently incorporate that into the design.

Once I have your details, I'll create a few design ideas for you to choose from before anything is printed.

Choosing the seeds

At the moment, I offer two options for custom memorial seed packets.

Everlasting Daisies

Each packet contains approximately 75 Everlasting Daisy seeds, producing beautiful white and pink flowers.

Everlastings are particularly lovely for memorial planting because they bring colour and life to a garden and can also be dried and enjoyed for longer.

Forget-Me-Nots

Each packet contains approximately 200 Forget-Me-Not seeds.

The name itself makes them a particularly poignant choice for remembering someone who has died, with their delicate flowers creating a beautiful connection to remembrance.

If you have your heart set on another flower, I can also check availability of Poppies, Daisies or Sunflowers before you order.

A simple and thoughtful funeral keepsake

The seed packets are intentionally small and simple.

The envelopes measure approximately 5.8 × 9cm and are available in kraft brown or white. Each packet has a personalised 4 × 6.5cm sticker on the front.

At the moment, custom designs are printed in black on white stickers, creating a simple, understated look that feels appropriate for a funeral or celebration of life.

The seeds are neatly enclosed inside each envelope before the packets are sealed and prepared for you to give to your guests.

A keepsake that lives on

Unlike many traditional funeral keepsakes, memorial seed packets don't simply become something that sits on a shelf.

They can become part of someone's garden.

A guest might plant their seeds at home and think of your loved one each time the flowers appear. Someone else might plant them in a pot outside their kitchen window. Another person might choose a special place in their garden.

There is no right way to plant them or remember someone.

The important thing is that something beautiful can grow from a small act of remembrance.

Ordering custom memorial seeds

Custom memorial seed packets are $7.95 each, with a minimum order of 18 packets.

When ordering, I'll ask you for:

• The name of the person you are remembering
• Your ideas for the design
• Something they loved or were interested in, such as a hobby, favourite pastime, pet or special interest
• Any wording or sentiment you'd like included
• The date you need the seeds by

Once I have your details, I'll create a few design ideas for you to choose from before anything is printed.

I understand that organising a funeral or celebration of life can be overwhelming, so I aim to make the process as simple as possible.

I can usually complete your order within one day of artwork approval.

If you're in Perth, next-day delivery may be possible. For interstate orders, please allow approximately three days with Express Post.
