I’m Sorry You’re Here
If you’ve found your way to Grief Gifts because someone you love is grieving, I’m truly sorry.
There are some moments in life when words simply don’t feel enough. When you want to reach out, to say I’m thinking of you, I’m here, or simply you don’t have to go through this alone, but you’re not quite sure what to say or do.
That’s where Grief Gifts began.
It would be my honour to help you
I know that choosing a gift for someone who is grieving can feel difficult. You may be searching for something that feels meaningful, something that acknowledges their loss without asking anything of them.
Something gentle.
Something thoughtful.
Something that simply says, “I’m here, and I’m thinking of you.”
Every gift at Grief Gifts is chosen with this in mind.
I personally prepare each order with care, from wrapping your gift to writing your personal message. It is important to me that when your gift arrives, it feels like it has been sent with genuine love and thought behind it.
A gift cannot take away loss
I wish it could.
A gift cannot make someone’s sadness disappear or make the days ahead any easier. But sometimes, a small gesture can offer a moment of comfort in the middle of a very difficult day.
It can remind someone that they are loved.
That they are remembered.
That someone is thinking about them.
And sometimes, that is enough.
When you don't know what to say
You don't need to find the perfect words.
A simple message can be enough:
“I’m thinking of you.”
“I’m so sorry.”
“I’m here for you, whenever you need me.”
“Sending you love.”
Or even just:
“No words. Just love.”
Your gift can say the rest.
Thoughtful gifts for tender moments
Grief Gifts was created as a gentle alternative to traditional sympathy flowers. While flowers are beautiful, they are temporary. I wanted to create gifts that could remain, be held onto and perhaps become a small reminder of the love surrounding someone during their grief.
From keepsakes and remembrance gifts to comforting gift boxes and meaningful little treasures, each item is chosen for the feeling it can carry.
Some are made to be kept.
Some are made to be planted.
Some are made to bring a little warmth to an ordinary moment.
And some are simply there to say, “I care.”
Every order is prepared with care
When you place an order with Grief Gifts, it isn't simply picked, packed and sent.
I know there is often a story behind it.
A mother who has died.
A father who is suddenly missing.
A friend who has lost someone they love.
A family facing their first birthday, Christmas or anniversary without someone special.
I may not know the person receiving your gift, but I know that it matters.
So I take the time to carefully wrap each gift, include your personal message and make sure everything is prepared with the same care I would want for someone I love.
If you're here because you are grieving too
Perhaps you didn't come here looking for a gift for someone else.
Perhaps you are grieving yourself.
If that's you, I'm especially sorry you're here.
You don't need to be okay.
You don't need to have worked out how to move forward.
Grief has no neat timeline and no right way to feel. Some days may feel manageable, and others may feel impossibly heavy.
Be gentle with yourself.
There is no need to rush.
Thank you for letting me help
If you've chosen Grief Gifts to send something to someone you care about, thank you for trusting me with such a tender gesture.
It is a privilege to play a small part in helping you reach someone when you can't be there yourself.
I will never take that trust for granted.
Whatever has brought you here, I hope you find something that feels right.
And I hope the person receiving your gift feels what sits behind it:
love, care, remembrance and the quiet reassurance that they are not alone.
With warmth,
Amanda
