Where This All Began

I have always felt things deeply and had an innate need to help people. It isn't something I chose. It's simply who I am. When someone I know is hurting, I feel it too, and I'm compelled to do something, anything, to ease that pain, even just a little.

I know what it feels like to lose someone you love. I know the emptiness, the heartache and the overwhelming feeling of wanting to do something when there is nothing that can make it better.
